Youth are an active and valued part of the life and ministry of our congregation. From childhood through young adulthood, they are encouraged to grow in faith, participate in worship, and serve Christ with the gifts God has given them. Opportunities for service include assisting in worship as acolytes, crucifers, banner bearers, torch bearers, lectors, and sharing their musical talents through vocal and instrumental music.
Milestone ministries, including the Blessing of the Backpacks, First Communion, and especially Confirmation, celebrate important moments in a young person’s journey of faith. Through Confirmation, youth deepen their understanding of Holy Scripture and the Lutheran faith as they publicly affirm their baptismal faith and confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Together with Christian education, fellowship, service, and mission opportunities, these experiences nurture faithful disciples who are equipped to live out their faith with joy and confidence throughout their lives.
